SCUBA Diver Down on Super Bowl Sunday Vieques
What does this Flag mean?
In the last couple of weeks this flag has had stories.
First we had a sailboat coming in on a collision course. So we grabed the flag and started waving it. The sailboat was not more than then 50 feet and the lady on the sailboat says to the guy, "That is sure a pretty flag we should get one". Really how about staying away from my divers in the water. Duh...
Today the flag on the float was a Jet Ski Slalom. The Jet Skis would race up to see what it was. Duh! Did not bother to notice the Divers in the Water.
One time (not recent) we were dong PADI open Water Dives and down at 20 feet we hear a boat. The boat backs up and someone jumps on the float and then tries to take it and put it on the boat. Duh! it's not a pull behind inner tube. I guess the propeller spinning with us right under did not give a good enough sign that there were Divers In The Water.
Even here in Vieques we are under Coast Guard Rules. So What do you think the flag means?
