Nan-Sea SCUBA Diving Charters, now a PADI Dive boat In Vieques, Puerto Rico
Tranquility, gentle breezes, white sandy beaches, an island set back in time, quaint villages, open air dining and a destination that if off the radar… for now.
Welcome to Vieques, Puerto Rico. A small island located east of the main island and next to the US Virgin Islands, is an up and coming destination for tourism.
This magnificent island is famous for its beautiful beaches, outstanding snorkeling, scuba diving par excellence and a unique bay harboring organisms that glow in the dark at night, the bio-luminescence bay.
Looking to diversify its scuba diving business, the owners of Strictly Scuba in Carson City, Nevada found Nan-Sea Charters in Esperanza, located on the south side of the island.
Dive shop owners and instructors Rooster Boisseau and Mark Shiflet purchased Nan-Sea SCUBA Diving Charters.
Strictly Scuba being a PADI five star facility, have now made Nan-Sea an official PADI dive boat.
This team of instructors as well as Captain Chipper will be in Vieques working the dive boat, supervising dives, conducting discover scuba classes, tours and offering certifications from scuba diver to PADI Instructor professional certifications.
Scuba diving and snorkeling are not the sole attraction for Nan-Sea. The boat caters to beach goers looking for that “private” setting on one of many hidden beaches surrounding the island.
Vieques is now slowly becoming a tourist destination. For decades the majority of the island was closed off by the US Navy. Consequently most of the island is under developed and ideal for getting on the ground floor for a tourist based business.
Plans are in the works for three major hotels of which groundbreaking has started one major hotel. The new owners of Nan-Sea Charters are excited and looking forward to a successful future catering to scuba divers and tourists
